I have often taken photographs and thought to myself that would make a super picture on the living room wall. These pictures are often something I have taken of precious moments throughout our lives and often include the children. Recently, I have ordered a 24″ x 16″ Personalised Canvas from Printerpix and I really wanted to tell you what I thought about the results.
After this years family holiday my partner and I spent some time at the coast in Filey. We decided to take the kids on a camping holiday which we all thoroughly enjoyed. When we returned home I really wanted to have at least one of the photographs wall mounted on a canvas so we could always remember what a lovely time we had.
I choose an image of Lola, Lucy, and Jake my partner’s children who all sat on a fence nearby to the tent which had a superb backdrop of blue skies and sandy beaches. The sun was out and everyone was smiling. Ok, that sounds a little cheesy but it’s true they all were!
Printerpix Personalised Canvas Review 24″ x 16″
After searching the internet i found Printerpix to be the most reasonably priced of all the personalised canvas companies on the net. I had read a number of other reviews from the Printerpix site and they were varied but in best part quite good.
I logged on to the site and began to create my Printerpix Personalised Canvas. This is quite an easy process, the only thing I struggled with was the size of the image my iPhone had taken. My DPI level was quite low and I needed to use an online site to make the image a better quality before Printerpix would approve the photograph being printed onto the Canvas. I could have chosen another picture maybe from my DSLR camera but I really liked this particular shot.
DPI Enhancement Tip.
If you are struggling to get the quality right on your images before uploading i would suggest you try the online tool Convert Town to enhance the quality of my image with ease. Just remember the overall size of your image at least for the Printerpix personalised canvas at 24″ x 16″ must be at least 3mb in size. This stops the image from looking distorted when the final print is made and delivered.
Don’t use Images transferred by Messengers
I would suggest not using images that have been sent via any of the following messenger apps WhatsApp, Viber or Facebook. These apps downsize the image by compressing it making the transfer from your device to another much faster. This doesn’t help when you want to print an image though because the quality looks terrible.
The best practice is to send an image via e-mail with no compression at all.
After creating my 24″x16″ Printerpix Personalised Canvas I choose a few optional extra’s too. I upgraded the Printerpix Canvas adding things like varnishing £3.99, thicker quality canvas cloth £5.99 and I wanted a hanging kit too priced at £1.99.
All in all the canvas cost me including delivery £58.93 including £8.95 delivery, which I do not think is a bad price really.

Ok, so the photograph you choose really helps make the piece. Me and my partner really love just how the backdrop of the blue skies makes this canvas really come to life, Oh and the children’s cheeky faces.
The picture really lightens up the living room.
As you can see from the above image this personalised canvas is thick and well made in my opinion.
Overall, I am pleased with the results and I would certainly recommend using Printerpix for a personalised canvas of your very own precious moments.
